Description of Service
Mechanic Now is a marketplace platform that connects vehicle owners ("Consumers") with local mechanics ("Mechanics") for vehicle repair and maintenance services.
We provide the technology platform only. We are not a mechanic service provider and do not employ any mechanics. The actual repair services are provided by independent mechanics who use our platform.

Free Trial Promotional Terms
These Free Trial Promotional Terms apply to mechanics, garages, mobile mechanics and other automotive businesses participating in a Mechanic Now free trial or introductory promotional offer.
1. Promotional Start-Up Offer
The Mechanic Now free trial is a limited promotional start-up offer designed to allow eligible mechanics and automotive businesses to experience the Mechanic Now platform before deciding whether to become a paying member.
The promotion may provide eligible businesses with access to Mechanic Now without platform charges on qualifying work generated through the platform, up to the promotional limit communicated to that business, which may be up to £3,000 of completed work.
The £3,000 figure is a maximum promotional limit and does not represent cash, credit, earnings guaranteed by Mechanic Now, or an entitlement to receive £3,000 worth of work.
Mechanic Now does not guarantee any minimum number, value or frequency of customer enquiries, jobs or earnings.
2. Mechanic Now May End or Change the Promotion
The free trial is a discretionary promotional offer and is not a permanent feature of a Mechanic Now account.
Mechanic Now reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw or end the promotional free trial at any time, including before a mechanic or business reaches the maximum promotional limit.
Where reasonably practicable, Mechanic Now will notify affected businesses when their promotional trial is ending.
Ending a free trial does not automatically enrol the business into a paid subscription or automatically authorise Mechanic Now to take payment.
3. Recording Completed Jobs
During the free trial period, mechanics and businesses must accurately record jobs completed through Mechanic Now.
Where requested by the platform, the mechanic or business must upload an invoice, job record or other reasonable evidence showing the value of the completed work.
This information allows Mechanic Now to monitor usage of the promotional allowance and operate the free trial fairly.
Information provided must be complete and accurate.
4. Failure to Record Jobs or Upload Invoices
Where Mechanic Now reasonably believes that jobs generated through the platform are being completed without being correctly recorded, or that required invoices or job information are not being provided, Mechanic Now may:
- request further information or evidence;
- temporarily suspend promotional access;
- adjust the recorded promotional usage where appropriate based on available evidence; or
- withdraw or terminate the free trial.
Repeated or deliberate failure to accurately record completed work may also result in restrictions being placed on the business's Mechanic Now account in accordance with these Terms of Service.
5. Promotional Allowance
The value of qualifying jobs completed through Mechanic Now during the promotion may count towards the mechanic's promotional allowance.
Once the applicable promotional allowance has been reached, or Mechanic Now otherwise ends the promotional period, free promotional access will end.
Unused promotional allowance:
- has no cash value;
- cannot be withdrawn or exchanged;
- cannot be transferred to another account or business; and
- does not have to be used in full before Mechanic Now may end the promotion.
6. Moving to a Paid Account
The end of the free trial does not automatically result in payments being taken from the mechanic or business.
Where continued paid access is offered, Mechanic Now will provide the mechanic or business with the relevant information and/or registration documentation required to set up payment.
The mechanic or business must complete the required payment authorisation or agreement before charges can be collected, subject to the applicable paid-service terms.
A business is under no obligation to continue using Mechanic Now after its promotional trial unless it separately agrees to the applicable paid service.
7. Fair Use
The promotion is offered in good faith to allow businesses to trial the Mechanic Now platform.
Mechanic Now reserves the right to withdraw promotional access where it reasonably believes that an account is:
- attempting to circumvent promotional limits;
- failing to declare completed jobs;
- providing false or misleading job values or invoices;
- creating duplicate accounts to obtain additional promotional allowances; or
- otherwise abusing the promotional offer.
8. Relationship With Mechanic Now's Main Terms
These promotional terms supplement the rest of these Terms of Service.
All other provisions governing use of the Mechanic Now platform, including account responsibilities and acceptable use requirements, continue to apply.
If there is a conflict between these promotional terms and the rest of these Terms of Service in relation specifically to the free trial promotion, this section will apply to the extent of that conflict.
9. Changes to These Promotional Terms
Mechanic Now may update these promotional terms from time to time.
Any changes will apply prospectively from the date they are published or otherwise communicated and will not create retrospective charges for work that was validly completed under a free promotional period.
